Song to Thee: Divine Androgyne

Video by Rowena Pattee Kryder

Three films: Song to Thee (30 minutes), Passages (11 minutes), and Interspace (12 minutes)

created in 1980 - before computer graphics

Song to Thee shows metaphors to the human chakras in the landscape, and amidst life on earth. Beginning with the root chakra and moving up to the crown, the viewer's own chakras have the potential to be awakened, while a song of praise is spoken to the music of Terry Riley.

Interspace was received with thunderous applause at the 2000 A.D. Perspective in San Francisco in 1975. It shows themes of cosmic creation and includes unusual special effects and scenes from the Faces of the Moon Mother. Music by Iasos.

The filmmaker considers Passages to be the best of her films. Amazing synchrony of music with color and form that opens one's vision to past, present and future. Music by Geophrey Chandler, Planetary Peace and others.

"I could see it 30 or 100 times. It is magnificently, wholly and deeply transcendental."

Fred Rohe, author and writer, East-West Journal
